Family Faith and Fun

"Informal," "active," "engaging": these words describe "Family,Faith, & Fun " a new way for families to explore the Christian faith together.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry serves the people of the parish and the wider community by distributing hand-made shawls to individuals experiencing extraordinary circumstances.

 
The Creative Art Group meets in the Upper Hall of St. John's every second and fourth Monday of the month from 9.30 am until about 3.00 pm (excluding July and August).

The Lakefield Community Food Bank is a ministry of St. John's. This food bank makes food available to those in need who live in Lakefield, Selwyn Township, or Douro-Dummer Township. It is open each Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

The Lakefield After-School Program has three sessions during the school year. A group of children (grades 2-8) come after school to St. John's once weekly from 3:30 until 5:00 pm.

On the third Monday of the month, a group meets in the Upper Hall of St. John's to assemble quilts for Quilts For Cancer Peterborough County. We receive the quilt pieces made up in kits ready to be sewn together.

Quilts for Cancer Peterborough County is a local registered charity that gives quilts to patients to comfort them physically and emotionally during their fights with cancer.
