Mark your calendar for M arch 4th 2012 when professional actor Matthew Gibson -- named by The National Post as one of the best actors of 2004 -- brings The Gospel According to Saint Mark to vivid life at a 10:00 AM interdenominational service at St. John’s, Lakefield. Gibson gives what is considered the oldest of the Gospels a dramatic two-hour solo performance, bringing the text alive through a unique blend of storytelling and theatricality with the text of the performance being the entire Book of Saint Mark from the King James Bible of 1611.  The A.C.W. will be holding their Thursday lunches in the Church Hall this year beginning in the season of Lent. The lunches start February 23rd and occur every Thursday for 6 weeks from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. The cost is $5.00 per person. To reserve, please call 705-652-8302.
As usual, each week a speaker will give a short talk following the lunch. The speakers are:

There are new hours in effect for the church office. The church office is now open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00 am until 12 noon. It is not open in the afternoon on any day. If you leave a message on the answering machine when the office is not open, it will be picked up the next morning that the office is open. Please plan accordingly.
