A Message from Rev. Munroe Scott

It is my great joy to worship God with the Parish of Lakefield and discover the various ways Jesus calls us to share His message of hope with others.

Ten years ago this fall I began my journey toward priesthood. After having spent over a quarter of a century in the woodworking industry, I found myself once again reading and studying as I returned to university to finish my B.Sc. at the University of Guelph and then on to complete my M. Div. at Wycliffe College in Toronto. This journey continued beyond ordination as my wife Martha and I spent five years at St. Matthew's in Sault Ste. Marie, before coming to this parish in May of 2009. It has been a journey which has enriched my life immensely as I have shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with fellow Christians and with the wider community.

My wish for all who read this page is that you too are able to journey with Jesus and have your life enriched as mine has been. If you are seeking a journey with Jesus in your life, St. John's is a wonderful place to start.
