The church should be
booked as soon as possible after a date has been selected. The rehearsal date
is to be set at the time the wedding is booked.
Rehearsal
The following people
attend the rehearsal – bride, groom, parents of the bride & groom, best
man, maid/matron of honour, bridesmaids and ushers, readers, intercessors, any
other speakers, children of the bride & groom if applicable.
Fees
The following donations are to be paid to the church, in
separate envelopes, 1 month in advance and no later than the rehearsal night.
The bride and groom
are expected to attend a marriage preparation course prior to the
wedding. Your decision to be married is more than the plans for the
wedding day. There is always something new to discover about each other
and your relationship. As individual couples, this recommended course is
an excellent and professional venue for you to explore what is important in a
relationship. We recommend the Marriage Preparation Course offered by
Humanitas. The web site is www.marriageprep.com
The 2008 dates and locations are advertised on the site. You can register
and pay online. If you would prefer, you can call the Office
Registrar at 905-841-3173.
Couples
who have taken this course have given positive feedback about the experience.
