Add a Few Extras to Your Grocery Shop for Lakefield Community Food Bank

Last year, the Lakefield Community Food Bank supplied much-needed groceries for over 200 families every week. That’s 200 households in and around Lakefield who regularly worry about putting food on the table.

As the economic outlook becomes more dire in Canada, families are fighting to balance stagnant wages, climbing debt, and rising food costs. It’s a perfect storm. Reading the increasingly dire headlines, it’s easy to feel helpless. But you’re not. There is a way you can help support your community and it’s as easy as going shopping.

When you go to the grocery store this week consider adding some extras to your cart and donating them to the Food Bank. Every single donation counts and helps us meet the growing demand for our services. Pick up some peanut butter, toss in a tin of tuna, whatever you can afford, we’d be very grateful to receive it.
