In Case You Missed It - Pictures From World Day of Prayer

Christians around the world came together on Friday 1st March 2024 with one aim - to be united in prayer.

St John’s was delighted to host the Selwyn area service for World Day of Prayer 2024, bringing together people from all denominations across our community to say a special liturgy, prepared by a committee of women from Palestine.

It was a wonderful day, and very well-attended with around 100 people packing the pews. Congregants prayed, sang, and heard from speaker Nader Kharouba during the service and refreshments were served afterwards. Thanks to everyone who attended and took part, and a special thanks to our lead organizer, Ann Jakins, who was her usual whirlwind of efficiency and made sure every detail was perfect.
