Save The Date - Lenten Lunches Return Next Month!

It’s been a long, hard winter but spring is just around the corner and that means that Lenten Lunches are back!

A longstanding Lakefield tradition, these weekly gatherings in Lent are a wonderful way to bring the community together for good food, good conversation and thought-provoking presentations.

This year’s Lenten Lunches promise all that, and something a little extra. In 2026, the lunches will be more of a coordinated community effort with several Lakefield churches pitching in to make and serve our two-course meal.

We’re so grateful to St John’s ACW and Lakefield’s Ministerial for spearheading this initiative and for the enthusiasm and efforts of our sister churches in helping us plan such an impactful event.

Last year, we served around 60 people each week and we anticipate that this year’s will be equally well-attended. Tickets are $8 and include a bowl of freshly made soup, homemade dessert and a presentation from a guest speaker.
