Welcoming Our Interim Priest

Barely a week after bidding goodbye to Rev. Peter Gachira, St John’s received the welcome news that a new priest was on her way.

Rev. Canon Dr Judy Paulsen will join the church as our interim Priest-In-Charge on November 1st and brings with her a wealth of experience in both practical pastoring and academic leadership.

The daughter of Anglican missionaries, Dr Paulsen began her career in the church as a priest and pastor before switching to a more academic role in 2013, when she became Professor of Evangelism at Wycliffe College. Three years later, Dr Paulsen stepped in to lead the College’s Institute of Evangelism.

In addition to this work, Dr Paulsen is a well-known figure on the Anglican conference circuit, lending her expertise to workshops, seminars, and retreats.

We’re very blessed to have Dr Paulsen and look forward to getting to know her as we live out God’s plans for St. John’s.
